And to secure Android platform it becomes necessary to take some important steps to prevent any security threats.
 
1. Trust Google play for android apps
Never download Android Apps form other websites no matter how genuine it may seem. Always download Android app form Google play because app downloaded from other website may contain malicious code and may pose security threat to your data. Many times hacker inserts malicious software in the genuine looking android app so that when you download the app it may hack your device and send important data to the hackers. Most of the time hacker use popular app like Angry Bird to make their goal successful so it is better tom stick with Google Play for Android Apps.
 
2. Lock your Screen
Locking your phone screen every important but using just a sliding lock will do no good. Rather use different locking apps that will help save your data from prying eyes. Something like using App and Fingerprint locks works best for the users.
 
3. Use secure network
Whenever you want to connect to internet through Wi-Fi network make sure you connect to the trusted network. Since all the network is made different it is important to verify the source before you connect to it. Never carry out and financial related transaction from the open Wi-Fi access because it may pose security risk to your data.

Sometimes we like the app so much that we don’t go through the fine print of the app. This is a big mistake that many of us make because at times the user agreements does not make much sense to users regarding data sharing and access to the phone details and locations. Having a software installed in your android devices with remote access is very important now-a-days.  Whenever your mobile goes missing you can wipe out important data remotely also you can track down your device using GPS and other technologies. 6. Less is more
Stuffing your Android device with apps is not a great idea, rather download and keep the apps which are useful. Having less app is nice as it will make your android device more secure, save your internal storage space and battery life of your device.
 
7. Secure your android OS with security software
If you want to secure your device form hacker and other security threats then it better you have a strong antivirus for your mobile device. There are many of them in the play store like ESET, Avast, Lookout, Symantec, AVG and Kaspersky.
 
8. Auto lock is great way to protect your data
If you don’t use your mobile device for more than 30 seconds then it should automatically get locked. This way in case your phone gets stolen or misplaced you get time to erase the detail and other important data.
