altIntel processors have enjoyed a respectable market position all over the world compared to its competitor AMD. Intel’s series of processors like Sandy Bridge or Ivy Bridge have given consistent performance over the years. But with changing technology space it has become imperative for Intel to come with more powerful and energy saving processors. And now even when PC sales are consistently declining Intel has come up with its 4th generation of processor code-named Haswell based on the 22 nanometer architecture. This processor promises to offers 10% improved performance and 50% power saving than its predecessor Ivy Bridge. The processor also boosts of graphical performance with features like DirectX 11.1 and OpenGL 4 visuals. It will also offer 4K resolution output and it can offer 3-screen collage mode. The cost of the processor will be on higher side compared to the older models but with substantial improvement of performance this should not be a deal-breaker.
